Making Calls
Dialing Numbers
Making calls with Proximiti is no different than making calls with any
other provider and/or telephone. With Proximiti digital phone service,
simply pick up the phone handset and, once you hear dial tone, dial the
phone number of the person you are trying to reach. You do have to dial
the area code and phone number for all calls, even local calls. You
don't have to add a "1" to the start of the number for domestic calls,
though. For international numbers, dial 011 + country code + number.
Voice-Activated Dialing
You can also make calls simply by saying the name of the person in your
address book. To do this, press "0" on your Proximiti phone and say
"make a call" when you hear the greeting. When the system asks you who
you want to call, just say their name.
If you have multiple people sharing the same line, you'll have to choose your Center from the Virtual Receptionist first.
Travel Card
You can make calls from any phone by dialing your travel card number:
1-866-359-1722, and following the prompts to log in. From there you can
make calls, check messages, lookup contacts, or use any other function
available in your Proximiti Center.
