Proximiti Communications announces co-marketing agreement with Sprint Communications

March 8, 2009 Tampa, FL: Proximiti Communications announced today that it has entered into a co-marketing agreement with Sprint Communications offering its partners the capability to offer leading edge wireless services and equipment including smart phones and netbooks addressing the wireless needs of legal and professional firms. As many companies look to better support mobile users and address the rising cost of wireless communications, the Sprint agreement provides the opportunity to provide end users with attractive service and equipment programs as part of an overall solution.

Sprint recently announced that it has formed specific marketing programs focusing on vertical industries including legal and professional firms. The objective is to highlight the specific benefits of the Sprint network for these markets including the easy integration of offerings like Proximiti’s WorkTRAKR service. As part of this effort, Proximiti personnel will be at the Sprint booth at the ABA Legal Tech show in Chicago in late April showing WorkTRAKR operating with Sprint network based personal computers, netbooks, and smart phones.

Gregg Smith, CEO of Proximiti comments: “The Sprint and Proximiti agreement points to the growing interest of integrating mobile devices with important business processes. WorkTRAKR is a bridge that connects almost all daily communications activity to legal management systems offering firms important benefits:
  • capturing previously lost revenue,
  • lower administrative costs,
  • near real time activity reports
  • personal comprehensive automatically generated time sheets for users
  • WorkTRAKR captures desk phone, PC, and mobile phone activity seamlessly linking almost any activity to the client, contact, and subject matters of the legal management system

Smith continues: “The Sprint agreement addresses another major issue for many law firms and that is the growing use of mobile phones and increasing costs. Business is increasingly on the go and Sprint’s offerings can improve wireless services while often times providing a lower monthly cost. Many firms do not yet have corporate plans and independent research often indicates 30% or more annual savings on wireless billing for those undertaking such plans. While WorkTRAKR can work with any carrier’s phones and does not require users to be Sprint subscribers, the Sprint arrangement makes it simple to determine whether savings can be obtained for firms electing to undertake a review.”

Sprint has sales engineers in most cities and Proximiti would be pleased to arrange for visits or direct communications between Sprint and client firms. Sprint also expects to refer legal firms interested in IT support, practice management and WorkTRARK inquiries to Proximiti for reseller lead generation opportunities. Details of the program between Sprint and Proximiti are now being finalized and more details will be provided as they are available.

While this program does not offer financial incentives from the sale of wireless services to Proximiti or its distribution partners, Sprint’ s reach and commitment to the legal industry as a strategic market offers benefits to Proximiti and its partners in delivering the integrated services that firms increasingly demand to meet the financial needs of today’s law firm. This relationship is important recognition that WorkTRAKR and its network of integration partners and legal management software companies offer law firms and Sprint a better path to meeting their business objectives.
