The wireless market is constantly evolving and being changed by consumer demands and competitive offerings. This has been brought to light in several articles like the recent article in RCR Wireless of October 23, 2008, "Prepaid space hot with competition", they pointed out that, Once considered the red-headed stepchild of wireless, prepaid services are finally gaining mainstream appeal helped by the need for carriers to target broader demographics and consumer desires for more ways to control their spending.
While many carriers are offering local Unlimited Plans (as their prepaid offering), when the customer demands that their service work beyond the boundaries of the local market, the Carrier instantly faces an insurmountable level of complexity. The "Local Only" product is not difficult and may be supported within the confines of the switch manufacturer. However, when Roaming is called for, the Carrier is left with few options and fact is that legacy solutions are not scalable and very often are just not affordable as a solution to the prepaid market. Today, however, Proximity Mobility, LLC (PM) offers a solution that is not only readily available but it is very scalable and very affordable. The PM approach enables the Carrier to provide prepaid roaming, Long Distance and International Long Distance when roaming. This can be accomplished by simply changing the Point Code on your Tech Data Sheet. There is nothing to buy (additional CapEx), nothing to reprogram (on the handset) and no complicated routing tables to amend. The PM approach is simple, straight forward, easy to use, and best of all; you can try it before you buy it!

To try our service, we ask two things; fill out our simple form and sign a NDA. After we have this information, you will have to work with one of your bordering roaming partners to change the Point Code that is associated with a test line range (that you will allocate) and open Gateway screening with your SS-7 provider to our Point Code; we use VeriSign.

After we have a few data points from the Sign-Up Form and you have had a chance to try our service, the complexity / level of our interface will strictly be up to you (the Carrier).
